iOS 4.1 kann ab sofort über iTunes geladen werden

Es ist so weit, eine Woche nach Vorstellung des iOS 4.1 kann die neue Version ab sofort geladen werden. Um die Aktualisierung vorzunehmen muss das iPhone oder der iPod touch an den Mac angeschlossen und iTunes gestartet werden. iTunes weist sodann auf die neue Version hin, das iOS 4.1 lässt sich entweder überspringen, nur herunterladen oder herunterladen und installieren.

Zu den großen Neuerungen zählt unter anderem die Einführung des Spielenetzwerks "Game Center", Performance-Verbesserungen für iPhone 3G, HDR-Fotos für das neue iPhone 4 sowie zahlreiche weitere Detailverbesserungen. Benutzer eines iPads müssen sich noch etwas gedulden, bis dann im November auch iOS 4.2 für iPad bereitsteht.

Warte noch bis ein jb da ist. sagt mal, wenn ich auf update eines schon jb iphones gehe, schiebt er ja nur die neue os drüber und belässt alles andere drauf. Was heist nach einem erneuten jb sind alle unter jb geladenen progies (bspw sb settings) wieder da. Oder?

Geladen. Installiert. Game Center von der ersten Seite auf die Spiele-Seite verschoben. iPhone 3GS, Build 8B117, Modem Firmware 05.14.02, Netzbetreiber Telekom.de 8.1. Geschwindigkeit normal, bisher keine Auffälligkeiten. Akkulaufzeit wird sich zeigen.

Yep, HDR-Photos gehen (ohne Jailbreak) definitiv nur mit dem iPhone 4. Zumindest ist die HDR-Funktion auf meinem 'regulären' T-Mobile iPhone 3GS nicht verfügbar.

Seltsam. Habe vorhin bei meinem Touch das Update angezeigt bekommen. Dann aus Vorsicht auf "Nur Laden" geklickt. Das wurde mit einem Fehler abgebrochen. Jetzt meint iTunes, dass die 4.0 die aktuelle Version sei (habe 4.0.2 ausgelassen) ... Sehr komisch

Update schnell und problemlos. Allerdings ist der Bug, daß ich nicht in mein Firmen-VPN komme (was mit iOS 3.x immer ging) immer noch da.
