What we have is an anonymization service that allows you to use a network of 30 servers in six different countries. Each server is configured to be a Socks Proxy, a SSH Proxy and a VPN. This enables you to connect to any of our servers in one of three ways thus ensuring that you can connect wherever you are even if you are behind a firewall at the workplace or at school.

We do not keep logs. In some newsgroups it has been argued that a service like ours cannot be run without logs. Well this is not true. We do it everyday. Is it harder to run without logs? Yes it is, but it is possible. Here is how we do it. First of all, we have found that as long as you remove spammers from the network you will not loose your internet service. So how do we catch spammers without logs? Simple. We prevent spam by putting a technical limit on the number of emails our users can send at a time and by the day. The limit is far higher than is required by even the most avid emailing personal user but is too low for a spammer to profit from no matter how good their product is. The whole spam abuse system is based on a "volume of complaints" system. We know from past experience that the number of emails we allow each user per day can never generate enough complaints to loose our internet services from our upstream providers. As for other abuse, it almost never causes a loss of internet service.

VPN - The vpn (virtual private network) is the easiest to setup and allows you to connect into our network and do all your internet activities from our network. Think of connecting to the vpn like coming into our "internet cafe" and using one of our computers. Anything you do does not reveal your identity because you are doing all your internet activities like web surfing from our computers, not yours. If you have ever used a dial-up internet service it is essentially the same thing except it is high speed (or as fast as your current internet connection). Actually you will notice that the setup procedure is almost the same as it is for setting up a dial-up. The only difference is that you will be entering our server name instead of your isp's phone number. We are essentially becoming your new ISP. (except we don't keep logs Please note that you still have to connect to your current ISP before connecting into our service. The nice thing about a vpn is that there is no software to install and once you are connected all your internet activities are protected. (Although for your convenience we have put together a small connection manager program you can download.) Another important advantage is that a vpn connection is encrypted so your isp cannot spy on you! The disadvantage is that you must disconnect when you want to use your real ip address from your ISP.





Bin leider noch nicht dazu gekommen, das zu testen. Der Ansatz ist aber sympatisch simpel: Sämtlicher Netzwerktraffic wird per VPN getunnelt, kommt auf deren Servern raus und kann nicht zurückverfolgt werden. Loggen tun die angeblich nichts. VPN-Server stehen auch in Deutschland, so dass die Performanz unkritisch ist.
