Die Beweise wird der BND mit Sicherheit nicht veröffentlichen. Das wird unter den Diensten ausgetauscht und nicht an die große Glocke gehängt. Es heißt ja nicht umsonst Geheimdienst.

Der ehem. Chef des GHCQ sagt übrigens, da sei nix dran an der Huawei-Spionage.

Und zum 100sten mal: bei Cisco gab es erwiesenermaßen Hintertüren. Klingt es da nicht logischer anzunehmen, die "Dienste" wollen Huawei rauskicken, damit ihre eigenen Hintertüren wieder funktionieren?

Solange Geheimdienste Beweise schreddern oder fälschen, vor Gericht und in Untersuchungsausschüssen lügen, 150 Jahre Geheimhaltung von Dokumenten anordnen können, würde ich sagen, dieser Teil des Staates ist schon mal eklatant antidemokratisch. Diesem Teil traue ich keinen Millimeter über den Weg, deren Aussagen folgen einer Agenda, die gerade nix mit Wahrheit am Hut hat.

Huawei has signed a contract to develop Russian 5G networks for mobile provider MTS over the next two years.

The deal was signed on the sidelines of a Kremlin meeting between Russian and Chinese leaders Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

Xi said, according to NPR : "Protectionism and unilateral approaches are on the rise, and a policy of force and hegemonism is increasingly taking hold."

Details of the 5G deal have not been released but, given the backdrop, it is a boost to Huawei and its symbolism is clear. MTS is the largest Russian mobile provider with over 30 per cent market share. It is either number one or two in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine. It also has sizeable fixed-line internet and cloud services businesses.

In other news, Arm founder Dr Herman Hauser has hit out at Trump's ban on Huawei, warning it would have damaging long-term impacts. Arm has a facility in Austin, Texas, and ordered staff to stop working with the Chinese comms kit provider in mid-May.

Hauser said that although the short-term impact of the ban will be felt by Huawei, in the longer term it will also be "incredibly damaging for Arm, Google and others – and the American technology industry".

He said the unilateral ban was a very serious issue of national sovereignty which cannot be compromised. He added there is little option but to comply, though companies around the world are busy removing American intellectual property from their products to avoid becoming pawns in US trade wars in the future.

Hauser told Business Weekly : "The solution is to design out American IP and stand on our own two feet unless we want to become vassals to the ESG (Extremely Stable Genius) as Trump describes himself.

"Every company in the world must now be thinking, 'Do I want to be in a position where the American president can shut me down?' When I talk to people in the industry, they are being very careful about not buying American products."

Bloomberg reported that UK officials are scuttling across the Atlantic to try and get clarity from US spooks on the supposed intelligence risks of Huawei which, the newswire reported, the UK was not warned about before the ban was announced.

Angered by Arm (the company he co-founded) being forced to end its relationship with Chinese ICT giant Huawei, Dr Hauser says standing firm against US president Donald Trump is crucial to the future export success of non-American technology companies.

Dr Hauser, co-founder of Amadeus Capital Partners told me: “I consider this an extremely serious issue for Europe and any other non-American country as it is a question of sovereignty which we must not compromise on.

“At present we have no option given the legal situation. The solution is to design out American IP and stand on our own two feet unless we want to become vassals to the ESG (Extremely Stable Genius) as Trump describes himself.”

Dr Hauser believes that Arm and US companies like Google and Apple will suffer long-term if America continues its ban on Huawei technology. He said the ban would be “quite damaging” in the short term for Huawei but “incredibly damaging for Arm, Google and others – and the American technology industry” in the longer term.

Some of Arm’s product is US-centric – hence the company has had to obey the White House trade mandate. But Huwaei is already ramping up plans to design its own chips from a new R & D hothouse in Cambridge and has potential fab factories galore back home.

Dr Hauser believes that unless the US takes the heat out of the China trade war customers around the world will limit their exposure to products containing technology originating in the US – and that includes some Arm output.

He says: “Every single supplier in the world will start thinking of how to reduce the threat of their production being terminated by an American president.

“All the discussions I have with companies in Europe at the moment are about them going through their intellectual property portfolio and designing American intellectual property out, which is terribly sad and destructive.

“Every company in the world must now be thinking: ‘Do I want to be in a position where the American president can shut me down?’ When I talk to people in the industry, they are being very careful about not buying American products.”

Arm is staying out of the direct US-China firing line but Business Weekly understands the superchip architect is simply keeping its powder dry.

“We are watching the situation very closely, engaging in dialogue with policymakers and hoping for a swift resolution,” an Arm spokesperson said.

Ich habe mit keinem Wort behauptet, daß ich das Verhalten der Geheimdienste befürworte, sondern lediglich festgestellt, was deren Aufgabe ist.

Der BND warnte eben schon 2011 vor Huawei, also lange bevor der Idiot mit dem toten Frettchen auf dem Kopf und der Affinität zu Handesstreitigkeiten und Twitter ins Weiße Haus einzog. Geheimdienste beschaffen Informationen, teilen das untereinander und unterrichten die Regierungen und andere Sicherheitsbehörden. Was mit diesen Infos von den Regierungen und Sicherheitsbehörden gemacht wird, ist wieder eine andere Frage.

Und solche Infos wurden nicht nur einmal ignoriert. Der letzte öffentlich bekannte Fall war Amri. Der griechische Nachrichtendienst sagte den Deutschen, daß hier äußerste Vorsicht angebracht sei und man sollte Amri auf dem Radar behalten. Wurde ignoriert. Was dann passierte, wissen wir.

Cisco hat übrigens keine 5G-Technik. Nur mal so als Randinfo.

Generell gilt, daß mit China- und Putinversteher nicht zu diskutieren ist, weil da jedwede Argumente ins Leere laufen. Ich bin ab hier raus.

Ich habe auch nicht behauptet, dass Du das Verhalten der Geheimdienste befürwortest.
Ich bin nur der Ansicht ein öffentlich geäußerter Verdacht eines Geheimdienstes (Widerspruch in sich) trägt immer eine Agenda und ist deswegen kein stärkeres Argument als eine bloße Behauptung von Irgendwem.
Generell gilt, daß mit China- und Putinversteher nicht zu diskutieren ist, weil da jedwede Argumente ins Leere laufen. Ich bin ab hier raus.
Ist der Feind bekannt, hat der Tag Strukur.
War in diesem Thread irgendwo Putin genannt? Oder ist das so ne Art Kontaktschuld?
Was ist mit Kim Jong Il? Oder Gadaffi?
