Update gekauft und installiert. Ich teste gerade die neue Importfunktion mit optionaler Unterordner-Erstellung. Genau dies hatte mir bisher bei Neofinder gefehlt. Nun geht vieles direkt von der Kamera ins Archiv. Den Weg über CaptureOne-Sessions gehe ich nur, wenn ich RAW entwickeln und neue JPGs schreiben will. Manchmal reicht für die Bearbeitung auch Photomator, der auf dieselbe Ordnerstruktur zugreift wie Neofinder.

Nutze Neofinder seit 6.0 und genau das Import Feature ist für mich die wichtigste Neuerung von 9.0. Somit faellt zukünftig Photomachanic evtl. weg.

Ich schwankte nach dem Abschied vom guten, alten Lightroom 6 zwischen Photo Mechanic Plus, Neofinder 8 und CaptureOne-Katalog. Nun sieht es definitiv danach aus, dass Neofinder alles zusammenhält.

Als DAM wuerde ich jederzeit Neofinder ueber PM Plus bevorzugen. Die Datenbank ist weitaus solider in Neofinder und vor allem schneller bei anwachsender Groesse. Photo Mechanic hat definitiv seine Staerken als Ingesting, Culling und Keywording Tool. Als DAM ist es jedoch meilenweit entfernt von dem was Neofinder kann. Norbert pflegt und entwickelt Neofinder seit 30 Jahren. Und das merkt man an der Ausgereiftheit der Software. Auch Capture One kann da in keiner Weise Neofinder das Wasser reichen. Nach einigen 1000 Fotos wird die Datenbank dermassen langsam und Traege.
Ein riesen Vorteil von Neofinder ist auch, dass sich die Kataloge aufs iPhone uebertragen lassen, was extrem hilfreich ist, wenn man unterwegs was braucht. Sei es auch nur als Proxy Aufloesung. Neofinder fuer IOS unterstuetzt jetzt auch Airdrop, um die Kataloge aufs iPhone zu bringen.

Ich hab an DAM Tools so ziemlich alles durchprobiert. Auch extrem teure Produkte wie Canto Cumulus. Mit Neofinder konnte bisher nichts mithalten.

Mittleweile ist mein Workflow, dass ich Excire's AI Tools benutze, um meine Fotos zu Keyworden. Katalogisieren und Suchen findet allerdings in Neofinder statt.

Das QuickTag Panel gefällt mir sehr gut. Weil ich sowas suchte, habe ich mir das schon selbst gebaut. Das ist hier natürlich besser gelöst.
Gibt es eigentlich Informationen darüber, wie die Weiterentwicklung von NeoFinder für die Zukunft gesichert ist? Bei einer Katalog-Software, die seit 30 Jahren entwickelt wird, wäre es gut zu wissen, dass es einen Plan gibt.
Gibt es eigentlich einen speziellen Grund, warum die Business-Lizenz erst ab 2 Personen verfügbar ist? Automatischer Sync und Web Gallery ist doch schon für Einzelnutzer nützlich.

Eine sehr gute Frage, die am besten Norbert beantworten kann. Persoenlich habe ich da keine Ahnung. Aber nachdem Neofinder sein Baby ist, denke ich, dass da sicherlich ein Plan besteht. (Hoffentlich)

Ich habe eine Lizenz von Neofinder. Nutze bislang aber lieber das kostenlose Digikam. Das hat mittlerweile auch eine sehr gute Gesichtserkennung.

Da sollte ich vielleicht Neofinder nochmal eine Chance geben, ich habe das zwar schon öfter installiert, bin aber irgendwie nie richtig damit warm geworden und habe es wieder deinstalliert.
