BitVice MPEG-2 Encoder now for free
We want more people to experience the advantages of using BitVice for MPEG-2 encodings.
Now you can use BitVice for FREE as long as you do not need to use some of the most advanced features. See "Limitations" below.

New features:
- A help menu has been added, where you can access the Manual and some extra items, not yet included in the manual.
- A new button, "AC3, VOB and more" is found to the lower right. It is a shortcut to open the BitVice Preferences window. Many users did not find these preference settings. So they did not realize the Audio, Multiplexing and DVD VOB Image creating capabilities of BitVice before.
- A "Purchase now" item is found under the BitVice menu and buttons to the same effect will appear when you are trying to use BitVice beyond the limitations of this FREE software.

Limitations for this free version compared to the retail version:
- The purifier option is not available
- Will not run on more than 2 CPU cores.
- When target bitrate is - The FREE version cannot be "unlocked", by entering any software keys."



Das entpackte Zip File zeigt zwar erst einmal DEMO.dmg an, darin befindet sich aber als Universal Binary die Free Version.

Merci vielmal für die Nachricht... Das kann ich grad gebrauchen.

Ich habs kurz angeschaut aber irgendwie auf die Schnelle nicht rausbekommen, wie ich einen Film encodieren kann... bzw. es hat nicht geklappt (es hat geheissen, der Name des Films sei nicht zulässig)... Naja ich werds später nochmals versuchen...
