Hallo Leute - es gab mal ein Programm für Sys 7 - Grapple war sein Name. Damit konnte man in abgespeicherten HTML Seiten nach Stichwörtern suchen.
Gibts ein solches Programm auch für Sys 10? Danke für Eure News Matthias

Grapple is a string finder for the Mac that is both friendly and intuitive to use. Originally inspired by the Unix utility grep, Grapple has evolved to be much more of a Macintosh application with a friendly and intuitive interface. Grapple is also faster than any other other string finder that we could find!
Grapple is very simple to use and fun. Set up a string to find, choose where to start the search and hit the search button. Grapple then searches recursively through the folder hierarchy for files of the type (or types) chosen which contain your string. Matched strings are extracted and listed in a window for you to browse through. At the end of a search, select any file from those listed and either view it from within Grapple, have the Finder display its location or open it with the editor of your choice; all at the press of a button!

Grapple 1.3 searches through text twice as fast as version 1.2. This makes Grapple faster than any of the 7 search engines we tested!
Export search results as text - from either Extracts or List views
Files created on PCs or Unix boxes are indexed and viewed as if they were Mac files.

Ich verwende für sowas BBEdit.

Das geht doch wunderbar mit BBedit oder der kostenfreien Lightversion dazu, deren Name mir gerade nicht einfällt (sick)

kann ich BBEdit auch sagen - hier in diesem Ordner sind 300 html docs. Wie oft finde ich in diesen Docs den Namen Wilhelm?

Och, sagen kannst Du ihm alles...

Im Ernst, Du suchst nach "Wilhelm" und bekommst eine Trfferliste wie in Spotlight. Zusätzlich noch die Anzahl der Treffer und die Möglichkeit etwas zu ändern. Probiers doch einfach aus. Ist 30 Tage kostenlos, danach wirds teuer. Lohnt sich aber. Kann noch viel mehr.

Klar, sorry, das meinte ich. Auch Server per FTP.

Textwrangler http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/index.shtml ist die Light-bzw. Freeversion von BBedit (die mir in meinem ersten Beitrag nicht sofort einfiel) und sollte eigentlich genügen.

Textwrangler hat keine Codedarstellung und gerade wenn man in HTML Seiten nachschaut, spielt das Drumherum eine entscheidende Rolle.
