Apple hat neben der Update auf QuickTime 7 für Panther-Benutzer auch das Software Development Kit (SDK) für QuickTime 7 für Mac OS X 10.3.9 herausgebracht. Damit kann man in Xcode 1.x auch QuickTime 7 nutzen. Ab sofort kann das Paket über die Software-Aktualisierung heruntergeladen werden. Apple schreibt zu dem Update folgendes:

The QuickTime 7 SDK contains QuickTime headers for use in creating software that employs QuickTime APIs. The SDK also includes examples and documentation that describe the capabilities of the QuickTime APIs, including the new functionality introduced in QuickTime 7. After installation, you will find the QuickTime headers in the following directory on your system:
/System/Library/Frameworks/QuickTime.framework/Versions/Current/Headers/

Documentation will be installed in the following directory on your system:
/Developer/Documentation/QuickTime

Example code will be installed in the following directory on your system:
/Developer/Examples/QuickTime
