OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 is an update to OS X Lion 10.7.

Installation Instructions

The OS X Lion 10.7.4 Update (Combo) updates
- OS X Lion 10.7, 10.7.1 or 10.7.2, 10.7.3 GM or any other previous 10.7.4 seed builds.

The OS X Lion 10.7.4 Update (Delta) updates
- OS X Lion 10.7.3 GM or any other previous 10.7.4 seed builds.

Please be aware that you will not be able to revert back to your previous system after updating. Please install this update on a system you are prepared to erase if necessary.

Crashing Bugs: Crash logs are required for crashing bugs. Crash logs can be located in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
    
Kernel Panics: Backtraces, which contain vital information for investigating kernel panics, are required for kernel panic issues. Backtraces can be saved to nvram on restart shutdown, then copied to the panic.log file on restart. The panic.log file can be found in /Library/Logs/PanicReporter.
    
Hanging Issues: When an application is hung, a Sample should be provided. This can be done using the Activity Monitor (/Applications/Utilities/). To generate a Sample using this utility, click on the hung application name, then from the View Menu select "Sample Process".

Mann, mach dich lieber ans Taten. Aber klar: Es ist einfacher, sich in Foren aufzuplustern …

a) mit wem sprichst du?
b) was bedeutet "ans Taten" machen?

Ich meinte natürlich "Testen" statt "Taten".
Und ich meinte damit soleil. Wären so manche Beta-Tester weniger öffentlichkeitsgeil, sondern würden die Software mit mehr Konzentration prüfen, wäre das sicherlich ein großer Sprung in Richtung "Qualität".

Ist die Mail App nun nicht mehr so "buggy" im Umgang mit mehreren Exchange Accounts?

Irgendwie waren weniger möchtegern Dev-Spackos unterwegs als die Entwickler-Accounts noch ein paar 1000 $ gekostet haben.....

Irgendwie ist das 10.7.4 gar nicht mehr wichtig.

Wichtiger ist, dass jetzt mit aller Kraft an Mountain Lion gearbeitet wird.
Und OS X 10.8 (12A178q) läuft erstaunlich stabil.

die 10.8 fand ich auch besser als jedes 10.7 bisher, nur blöd für die wo 10.8 nicht mehr läuft

Oh ja, das stimmt. Macs von 2007/2008 werden teilweise mit 10.8. nicht mehr laufen.
Also irgendwie ist 10.8 ein System, wie es schon vor einem Jahr hätte sein sollen.

Es ist nicht weltbewegend besser als 10.7 - aber es ist besser!
Und ich denke, die ganzen Kinderkrankheiten von 10.7 sind dann mit 10.8 passé.

Ist da der (verständliche) Wunsch in Dir der Vater Deiner Gedanken? Oder hast Du schon konkrete Hinweise bzw. Erfahrungen, die derartige Ansichten bestärken?

Ist Erfahrung.
Das Betriebssystem ist prima.
Wird ein Umstieg wie von Leopard zu SnowLeopard.
Denke, man kann sich auf ein stabiles und schnelles Betriebssystem freuen - die jetzige Version 10.8 (12A178q) ist jedenfalls schon schön schnell.
An 10.7 wird man nicht mehr so viel tun - das Hauptaugenmerk liegt jetzt auf 10.8

Nur schade, dass 10.8 (wie schon erwähnt) nicht überall läuft. So auch nicht auf dem ersten MacBook Air, das mit 2 GB RAM und der PATA/IDE-Platte leider schon mit 10.7 schwächelt; auf 10.6 lief es noch deutlich flüssiger. Bei Macs mit 4 und mehr GB RAM ist das aber wohl weniger ein Thema.

Bei einem MacBook Air der ersten Generation sollte man besser maximal SnowLeopard einsetzen.

Man muss sich auch immer fragen ob man immer das neueste Betriebssystem wirklich braucht - wenn vielleicht das ganze System mit der Vorgängerversion wesentlich besser läuft.

War ja auch mit dem iPhone 3G so, ein iOS 4 lief nicht mehr wirklich gut darauf.
