auch wichtig, der "MPEG4 / H.263 hardware accelerator", damit kann apple im iphone ichatAV möglich machen, ohne h264/mpeg4 hardwarebeschleunigung geht ja gar nichts.. mit diesem chip ist es nun möglich ichatAV video chat zu unterstützen!

mal sehen ob apple die 2 MMC/SD interfaces nutzen wird, oder ob man weiter keine speicherkarten unterstützen wird... ich glaube apple würde gut daran tun es zu erlauben, da man dann das iphone um (im moment mögliche) 8GB erweitern kann, und tomtom & co so ihre navi-karten ohne probleme liefern können.

DVB-H und FM-Radio ist interssant, das fehlt auch vielen, aber ich glaube DVB-T und DVB-H ist immernoch sehr batteriehungrig... die frage ist ob es hungiriger als UMTS sein wird... gerade im hinblick auf die EM2008 in CH/A...

die option das man HSDPA ganz ausschalten kann um strom zu sparen finde ich sehr gut! wenn man nur EDGE/GPRS nutzen will kann man das! tolle sache!

ich hoffe das apple nicht vergisst für das jetzige 8GB/16GB iPhone noch die bluetooth profile für bluetooth GPS nachzuliefern, hoffentlich mit dem 2.0 update! damit das neue und die alten iphones beide mit GPS arbeiten können, die neuen mit integrietem GPS modul, dier alten mit externem bluetooth GPS modul...man darf ja hoffen!!!

mein Gott , der Chip kann ja fast alles. Wenn Apple den wirklich Verbauen sollte und alles was der kann auch zulässt kann sich die Konkurrenz aber warm anziehen.

Natürlich ist der Chip gut. Darum verbauen ihn ja auch andere Ist ja nicht Apple-exklusiv. Die Gold-Serie kann man seit 10 Jahren von Siemens/Infineon bekommen. Auch Nokia stellt seine Handys momentan von Eigenentwicklungen auf Zukäufe wie die Gold Serie um.

SGOLD3 ist aber EDGE,wie ich grad lese. SGOLD3H ist 3G. und ein H sehe ich nicht im Quelltext.

vermutlich ist dieser chip bereits verbaut und alles nur ein irrtum
ausserdem wäre gps nur ein weiterer chip, der sich anschliessen liesse... viel zu sagen hat diese entdeckung eigentlich nicht...

der mometan verbaute chip im iphone 8GB/16GB ist der sgold2...

und apple muss ja nicht unbedingt "S-GOLD3H" in ihrem quelllcode schreiben, viele programmierer kürzen ja gerne ab... \

also ist der SGOLD3 Chip auch 3G fähig, mit Co-Prozessor!

wie gesagt, dem "kleinen" gold3 fehlt der 3G co-processor, aber er kann alles was auch der gold3h chip kann...

ich denke das apple bewusst den namen einfach gehalten hat weil sie ja befürchten mussten das leute im quellcode stöbern werden, über kurz oder lang.

was mich echt wundert ist das im pmb8877 h264 erwähnt wird, und im lastenbuch des pmb8878 nur mpe4 und h263??? da ichatAV ja h264 braucht, und nicht nur mpeg4 und schon gar nicht h263...

und an der produktbezeichnung sieht man ja auch wie nahe verwandt die beiden sind... 8877 oder 8878...
