Seit einiger Zeit beobachte ich manchmal (nicht immer) folgendes Problem: iMac (mid 2007; 7,1) unter 10.6.8 will nach dem Einschalten nicht richtig hochfahren. Man sieht für ca. 5 Minuten nur den grauen Hintergrund mit dem Apfellogo (nicht mal eine drehende Zitronenscheibe - auch kein Startlaufwerk-Fragezeichen), dann startet er plötzlich neu und bootet normal und erfolgreich.

In der Konsole finde ich auch keine Auffälligkeiten - man bemerkt eine Pause zwischen 07:23 bis 07:28, aber eigentlich müsste da dann doch auch ein Neustart verzeichnet sein?

Ist das ein bekanntes Phänomen? Deutet das womöglich auf etwas (Schlimmes ) hin? Beim Googlen und hier im Forum habe ich nichts Ähnliches finden können, deshalb wäre ich für Tipps dankbar.

Anscheinend hilft es, die Zugriffsrechte mit dem FDP zu reparieren. (wäre auch mein erster Tip gewesen). Dann würde ich auch noch das Parameter-Ram löschen. Mal schauen ob es dann besser wird

Ich würde zusätzlich (natürlich nur, wenn das Vorhergesagte noch nicht die Lösung sein sollte) den System Management Controller (SMC) zurücksetzen. Das geht für deinen iMac so: (Originaltext Apple)
1. Fahren Sie den Computer herunter.
2. Trennen Sie das Netzkabel vom Computer.
3. Warten Sie 15 Sekunden.
4. Schließen Sie das Netzkabel an den Computer an.
5. Warten Sie fünf Sekunden. Drücken Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter, um den Computer einzuschalten.

Vielen Dank schon mal für die Tipps. Die Rechte repariere ich regelmäßig und immer, wenn etwas 'komisches' passiert. 'EV_DELETE failed…' habe ich eigentlich schon immer und mich eigentlich daran gewöhnt. Oder sollte man auch mal die Rechte bei den externen Platten reparieren?

Das könnte gewesen sein, als ich sicherheitshalber doch nochmal in den Systemeinstellungen die Bootplatte eingestellt habe. Könnte es was damit zu tun haben? Und dann hülfe vielleicht ein NVRAM-Reset (ist das -alt-P-R?)?

Ich habe seit geraumer Zeit (ca. Oktober 2012) dasselbe Problem und bisher keine vernünftige Antwort gefunden.

Das Phänomen stellt sich so dar: Normales Boot führt zu grauem Bildschirm. Shift-Boot führt zu hellblauem Bildschirm. Verbose Boot führt zu hellblauem Bildschirm oder manchmal zu dunkelblau gestreiften Bildschirm. Bootcamp (Win7) führt zu Systemabsturz (nur im abgesicherten Zustand mit Netzwerktreibern geht Win7 noch). Single User Boot funktioniert bis zur Eingabe. Dort kann ich FSCK starten, Rechte wiederherstellen, etc. Hilft aber trotzdem nicht. Boot von bootfähigem Stick führt zu grauem Bildschirm. Die Abstürze kommen m.E. immer genau dann, wenn eigentlich ein Anmeldeschirm erscheinen sollte.

Bisher hat mir nur geholfen, von der Installations-DVD (10.6.x) zu booten, was nach längerem Rumnudeln der DVD und Platte auch zu einem grauem Bildschirm führt. Danach bootet das System aber wieder ganz normal und ich kann oft tagelang normal arbeiten, bis dieses Phänomen aus heiterem Himmel wieder zuschlägt. (Bisher meisten beim Arbeiten mit iPhoto bzw. beim Scrollen mit der MacMouse in größeren Dokumenten.)

Ein Upgrade auf 10.8 hat auch nichts gebracht. Dasselbe Phänomen tritt auch hier auf. Die erweiterte Mac Diagnose zeigt keine Hardware-Fehler. FSCK zeigt auch keine Fehler. Software ist auf neuestem Stand.

Noch ein Nachtrag: Ich habe einen iMac 27" mit Intel-Prozessoren, Kaufdatum April 2011.
Reset NVRAM, wie oben vorgeschlagen, bringt auch nichts.

Das klingt mir so als ob das reste von einem EFI Bootupdate übrig geblieben sind. Weiss jemand spontan wo die gecachten Daten liegen? Wenn man die löscht, müsste wieder Ruhe sein.

@scribbler: Wenn ich das Protokoll richtig verstehe, dann soll der Mac von einem OS starten, das in einer Virtualbox eingebunden ist. Das funzt leider nicht, weil er den Windows-Server nicht findet bzw. nicht einloggen kann. Die Einlog-Versuche und bis er halt ein Volumen gefunden hat, von wo er starten kann, dauert es halt 5 Min.
