Hallo!

Ich habe folgendes Problem: Mein Drucker (Xerox Phaser 6100) soll eine neue Firmware bekommen, leider hat er keinen Ethernet-Anschluß, was die Sache deutlich vereinfachen würde.

Die Beschreibung/Anleitung des Firmware-Files geht leider nur auf User eines Windows-Rechners ein:

- If the Phaser 6100 is connected to the parallel port of a PC: Start a DOS session from the
Start menu ieÖ.Start > Run . Then type the word "command".
- In the DOS window, use the cd (Change Directory) command to navigate to the directory
containing the "R610_105.hde" printer firmware file to be downloaded to the printer.
- Use the copy /b command to copy the file to the LPT port on which the printer is located.
For instance, if the printer is located on LPT1, the command would be: copy /b R610_105.hde LPT1:
(It's very important that the /b option is used.)
Wait for the message on the front panel to indicate it is safe to reset the printer.


Wer weiß, wie ich diese Datei via USB auf meinen Drucker bekomme?
