Ist es mit Apple Remote Desktop möglich, ein MacBook, welches via Airport verbunden ist, aus dem Ruhezustand zu wecken?

Ich muss 10 MacBooks, welche in verschienen Räumlichkeiten stationiert sind, mit ARD verwalten und möchte nicht immer bei jeder Station dem Ruhezustand manuell beenden müssen.

Soviel ich weiss, schaltet sich im Ruhezustand die WLAN-Verbindung automatisch aus, um Strom zu sparen. Gibt eine Einstellung, die dies verhindert?

Interessante Frage. Warum aber nimmst Du nicht die ARC (Apple Remote Control)? Die kannst Du ja je an ein einzelnes MB koppeln und so bequem vom Sitzplatz aus alle Rechner aus dem Ruhezustand kitzeln. Hübsch verbaut sähe das sogar noch nett aus...

"Although you can put computers to sleep via AirPort, you will not be able to wake them using ARD.

... Apple Remote Desktop can wake up computers that have gone to sleep or been put to sleep with ARD. To wake a computer using ARD, the computer’s networking hardware must support waking via network packet (wakeonlan), and the computer must have “Wake For Administrative Access” enabled in the Wake Options of Energy Saver preferences.

You cannot wake up computers connected to the network via AirPort or computers not located on your local subnet."
