Für das EOS Utility steht ein Update für OSX bereit, welches einen Bug beim Remote Shooting fixt und ein paar Verbesserungen mitbringt.



• Remote shooting problem for EOS Utility 2.2 fixed
The problem in which the images are not transferred to PC in RemoteLive View function of EOS Utility when the Remote Live View window is displayed and then closed, and in which EOS Utility does not respond afterwards even when releasing the shutter on the camera has been fixed.
(Supported Cameras: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, EOS-1D Mark III)

• Remove Live View window improved
When double-clicking the Remove Live View window, it will switch to the Zoom View screen. When double-clicking the Zoom View screen, it will switch to the Remote Live View window.

• Functions added to Remove Live View window
A Maintain Zoom View check box has been added to the Zoom View screen. By clicking this check box (ON), even if remote shooting is performed or magnification of the camera is changed while the Zoom View screen is displayed, the Remote Live View window is not displayed in the previous screen, and the Zoom View screen is displayed in the previous screen instead. (The setting for the check box is OFF by default) (Supported Cameras: EOS-1Ds Mark III, EOS 40D, and EOS-1D Mark III)

Die 5D wird aber immer noch nicht erkannt. Ich frage mich was die eigentlich bei Canon da testen...

Wie kommst Du auf Fehlermeldung?

Also habs auf einem PPC und Intel Mac probiert. Es kommt immer die folgende Fehlermeldung:

Fehler
Kamera ist ausgelastet und kann nicht kommunizieren.
Löschen Sie, wenn LCD-Monitor der Kamera angezeigt wird.

Das war schon bei der alten Version so...

Ich wiederhole noch mal: Mit meiner Kamera (EOS 1D Mark III) und dem aktuellen EOS Utility funktioniert es unter Leo einwandfrei. Screenshots siehe oben.

Bei älteren Modellen, wie der 20D, oder der 5D, lag, wenn ich mich recht erinnere, EOS Capture bei (nicht zu verwechseln mit EOS Utility). Laut Systemvorraussetzungen auf der Canon-Seite ist dieses ältere Programm (Capture) nicht Leo-Kompatibel. Jedenfalls wird da nur 10.2-10.4 angegeben.

Bei der Verbindung der 5D mit dem neuen EOS Utility unter Leopard gibt es wohl häufiger das Problem mit der "Busy"-Fehlermeldung. Mit ein wenig Googeln bin ich auf einen Thread bei LL gestoßen, in dem ein User ein Workaround gefunden hat:
